FORENSIC officers are examining the scene of a lunchtime explosion at the Giraffe restaurant in the Princesshay shopping centre, Exeter.
Bomb disposal officers were called in to make sure the scene was safe following the blast.
One man in his 20s has been arrested. He has suffered a cut eye and some burns to his face.
Police received three other calls this afternoon from people reporting possible incidents. Units went sent to each report and premises were evacuated. No other devices have been found.
Anyone with concerns about a friend or relative can contact the police on 0800 056 1864 but they say there is only one reported casualty.
