THIS year Marie Curie Cancer Care's annual Ladies Driving Challenge at Westpoint, Exeter will be on Sunday, October 19.

The charity is looking for ladies from Devon to get behind the wheel of some of the biggest vehicles on the road including JCBs and HGVs at the event.

All money raised from the event will support and fund the Marie Curie Cancer Care Nurses in Devon providing care to terminally ill cancer patients and their families completely free of charge.

Devon Fundraiser for Marie Curie Cancer Care, Samantha Surridge, said: "The Ladies' Driving Challenge is a fantastic day out, as well as driving some truly amazing vehicles you wouldn't usually have the opportunity to drive, you'll be raising funds for a very worthwhile cause!"

Those wanting to take part in this year's Ladies Driving Challenge need to have a driving licence and be over 18-years-old.

Entrants must raise a minimum of £100 each and pay a registration fee of £10 per entrant.

For more information call Samantha on 01884-703535, email Samantha.surridge@mariecurie.org.uk or visit www.mariecurie.org.uk/events.
