THE young parents of a baby who died after an horrific accident have seen tragedy turn to hope with the birth of another daughter.
Matt Hardie and Charlie Haworth are celebrating the safe delivery of Kadie Ann Hardie at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, on Monday.
Rhianna Hardie died aged 11 months on December 12 last year following a three-week fight for life after she was scalded by boiling water when a tank burst in the loft over her cot.
Grandmother Sue Hardie said: "After all the heartache of what happened to Rhianna, we've now got something to be happy about.
"Kadie is like a tiny doll, small and beautiful.
"This Christmas will be a lot easier for us. Everyone's delighted Charlie's had another baby."
Hundreds of well-wishers sent messages of support to the family as Rhianna battled unsuccessfully for life after the accident in their council house in Wellington Road, Taunton.
