WI: On November 20 Combe Florey enjoyed an evening of Old Fashioned Music Hall fun when David Andrews provided Music Hall Mayhem.
David played guitar, sung and recited monologues with enthusiastic participation from members. He was accompanied by Pat Brown on tambourine, Annie Makepeace on snare drum and Sue Mackay providing the "Boom Boom" on the drum after David's excruciating jokes! Carole Hart joined David as "Mabel" in a humorous recitation and there was further musical assistance from other members for "Old MacDonald had a Band". A good time was had by all!
The entertainment was followed by the AGM chaired by President Lesley Topps. Lesley read her report followed by those from Anne Chadwick, Secretary and Gill Marshall, Treasurer. Voting for Committee posts wrapped up the meeting. Refreshments were provided by Carol Perry and Chris Shirley.
On December 18, Sue Mackay will show us how to make floral table decorations, door wreathes and paddles to decorate our homes for Christmas. New members are always welcome at Combe Florey Village Hall on the third Tuesday of each month.
