EXETER and Devon couples who are celebrating their Diamond Wedding Anniversary (60 years) in the same year as Her Majesty the Queen and Prince Philip, will be taking part in celebrations to mark the occasion.
The Lord Mayor of Exeter, Cllr Hazel Slack, is hosting a special afternoon tea at Guildhall on Tuesday, November 20.
Joining her will be 40 couples from Exeter and Devon who share the same anniversary year as the Queen and Prince Philip. The Deputy Lieutenant of Devon, Anna Robinson, will also be attending representing the Queen.
After tea, a toast to the royal couple will be made.
A quintet from the Salamanca Band of The Rifles will be present during the afternoon and the national anthem will be played during the Loyal Toast.
