THE Devon Wildfowlers Association will be holding a family open day on Sunday, September 23 in association with Escot house and BASC South West.
DWA chairman Nick Millman is delighted to announce that they will host this year's family open day in the grounds of Escot house and to have support and assistance from BASC South West.
He said: "The truly beautiful stately home and grounds lends itself well to such an event and we are grateful for the support shown by the Kennaway family.
"Equally I am very pleased to say Jamie Stewart BASC South West Director has helped plan and provide practical and educational activities for the day."
The day will have something for everyone:
Big Bore Clay competition
Have a Go clay pigeon shooting under the watchful eye of BASC South West coaches.
Air rifle shooting with two time world champion Kevin Jackman.
Conservation walks through the Wetlands and Waterfowl area
The art of hide building and decoying
Punt gunning display
Gundog Scurries
Ferret racing The event will run from 10am until 4pm. Entry is free however donations to the Devon Wildfowlers Association would be gratefully received.
Escot Gardens and restaurant will be open to the public as usual
