MARIE Curie Cancer Care will be starting their biggest ever cycle - an epic journey from Warsaw to St Petersburg - next year.
Phillip Martin from Witheridge has already signed up to take part in the challenge and will be joining other participants from all over the county.
The charity is not expecting participants to cycle the whole 2,091km, the challenge is broken down into four routes each lasting one week.
Phillip has signed up to do the first 651km route, which starts in Warsaw and will take him through the polish countryside, crossing the border into Lithuania and the baroque city of Vilnius.
Phillip said "I am really interested in cycling and Bike the Baltic is a fantastic opportunity to raise funds for a worth while course. It would be great if we could get together a team from Mid Devon to represent the area on the challenge."
