LOCAL author Stephanie Bailey hosted a book launch event at Uffculme Library.

Ms Bailey spoke about her novel, Singing in Silence, which is a fictional, contemporary political and romantic thriller, based on some of her life experiences when she lived in the Middle East and featuring heroine Janey Green.

She had copies available for sale to the 50-strong audience and was accompanied by local former publisher of 33 years, Jim Clancy, who also spoke generally about the publishing world and how Stephanie self-published this book with help from him and his business, Streamline Photography and Design.

Ms Bailey read some passages from the book and gave an account of what the book is about Janey Green and her dangerous liaison with a member of the Middle Eastern Royal Family.

But, the work has not stepped for Ms Bailey as she is now busy writing her sequel, The Windows of the Soul, which is earmarked for release in 2017.
