Man charged with murder after pensioner's body discovered in car
A MAN has been arrested and charged with murder after police discovered the body of a woman on Wednesday.
Charles Robert Broom, 66, from Honiton has been charged with murder and is remanded in custody to appear before Exeter Magistrates Court today (Friday, December 4).
The body, which is due to be formally identified later today, was found in the area of Fenny Bridges at around 4pm on Wednesday.
She is believed to be a 71 year old local woman.
Devon and Cornwall Police found the body in a car following information from the public.
A forensic post mortem was carried out yesterday.
Police have said they are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.
