Dry weather with sunny spells is set for Mid Devon today, although it looks uncertain as to whether it will last.

The Met Office are predicting a less than 5% chance of rain across the Mid Devon area, with a maximum teperaure of 18°C.

In a statement on the Met Office website, it said: "A generally dry day with some decent sunny spells for all and a cool northerly breeze. The odd isolated shower is possible, these mainly along northern coasts and over higher ground."

However, on Wednesday this dry patch may not last.

"Mostly dry with variable cloud and sunny spells," the Met Office have said. "Some isolated showers, possibly heavy, developing through the day. A northerly breeze, but feeling fairly pleasant in any sunshine."

There is a 30% chance of rain around 2pm, falling to 10% across the rest of the afternoon.
