CORNISH acoustic band Jarca will kick off the 2007 Summer Music Train season on the Tarka Line from Exeter today (Friday, April 27).
The train will leave Crediton at 9.09pm for the round trip to Barnstaple and arrives back in to Crediton at 10.54pm.
Music Trains are well established on the Tarka Line providing a unique way to spend an evening enjoying live music, locally brewed real ale and a scenic train journey.
This year's line-up includes an eclectic mix of traditional Jazz, folk and popular music.
Rebecca Catterall from the Devon and Cornwall Rail Partnership said: "Music trains have proved very successful over the years and are a great way to spend a completely different evening out listening to some great local musical talent and enjoying locally produced real ale and cider."
Tarka Line Music Trains will be taking place on the fourth Friday of each month until August.
There is no need to book in advance and tickets can be purchased from the conductor on the train, with a Devon Evening Out fare costing £5.
Further information on Tarka Line Music Trains, is available from the Devon and Cornwall Rail Partnership on 01752-233094.
