THE construction of 15 two, three and four bedroom houses in Bradninch has been completed.

Working closely with The Duchy of Cornwall, Hawkcrest Land Ltd, Mid Devon District Council, Devon Communities Together and Bradninch Town Council and with grant funding from the HCA, The Guinness Partnership completed the construction of the properties.

All of the homes are for Affordable Rent and are occupied by people from Bradninch or have a good local connection with the town.

A statement from Mid Devon District Council said: “The development utilizes the natural location at the brow of a hill to maximize the outstanding views from the rear over the open countryside and the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the distance.

“Schemes like Bradninch are helping to boost rural economies by ensuring continued demand for key services such as shops, schools and post offices.

“The houses have been built to a very high quality by C.G. Fry & Son who have a long history of working with Guinness and the Duchy of Cornwall.

“A mixture of different materials have been used on the exteriors including brick, render and hanging slate as well as feature oak lintels and porches to some of the houses to give a pleasing aspect to the scheme.”
