A WOMAN has been released on police bail after being arrested in relation to the unexplained death of a teenager from Crediton.
Police arrested a 36-year-old woman from the Crediton area in connection with their enquiry at 8.20am on Tuesday.
She was arrested on suspicion of permitting her premises to be used for smoking cannabis and was taken to Heavitree Road Police Station in Exeter for questioning.
Police are still investigating the unexplained death of Robyn Bennett who died on Saturday night after emergency services were called to an address in Crediton following a report that a girl had lost consciousness.
Robyn was taken to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital but was confirmed dead on arrival.
Andrew and Tina Bennett paid tribute to their "beautiful daughter".
The said: "We are deeply upset over the tragic death of our beautiful daughter, Robyn.
"Robyn was a bright, happy, intelligent, outgoing and friendly young woman.
"She was studying three A-levels at Exeter College in Media, English and Photography.
"Robyn had her whole life ahead of her - her death has left a deep hole in our lives and that of anyone who knew her".
A post mortem on Robyn is due to be carried out.
The woman has been released on police bail to attend Heavitree Road Police station on May 15.
