EAST Devon District Council is offering an exciting opportunity to run a cafe in a stunning seafront location on the Jurassic Coast in Seaton.

The Chine Cafe and the public toilets to the rear of the building are available on a 25 year lease with the opportunity for the new tenant to combine both buildings to provide a larger cafe/restaurant facility.

The cafe, located on the end of West Walk, has been empty since the previous lease expired last year. The public toilets currently open during the summer season only and the expectation is that these will become integral to the cafe.

The total floor space, toilets and cafe, is 1335 sq ft (124 sq m).

Additional land to the front of the building may be available via a separate licence agreement.

A lot of interest Cllr Ian Thomas, Cabinet Member for Economy and Chair of Seaton Regeneration Programme Board, said: “This prime seafront building offers a fantastic opportunity for a business to provide an exciting and attractive cafe for Seaton residents and visitors.

"Not surprisingly there has been a lot of interest in the site and I am looking forward to seeing some innovative ideas for the building.

"With Seaton Jurassic just months from opening and bringing thousands more visitors to the town, it is important that we make the most of this wonderful facility right on the Jurassic Coast."
