DEVON'S Crealy Great Adventure Park is supporting a charity game of tag rugby which 15 year old organiser, Daniel, hopes will last more than 24 hours.

Daniel, who attends Uffculme School, has a passion for sport, plays for Cullompton RFC U15's and is also an Army Cadet.

The 7-a-side Rug-a-thon will raise money for Help for Heroes, a charity Daniel has wanted to support from a young age. Daniel is looking for people of all ages and abilities to support the event at Uffculme School on March 20 from 5pm through to the evening of March 21.

Over 18’s are invited to play from 9pm on Friday until 8am on the Saturday morning, with all ages playing either side of these times.

Daniel said “I have wanted to raise money for Help for Heroes for a long time. I thought a Rug-a-thon event was the perfect way to do this, as I love rugby!”

Players aged under-16 are asked to donate £1, and adults £3 to participate, and there will be a prize from Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park for the child under-11 who raises the most sponsorship.

Josh Haywood, General Manager at Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park, said: “We are really impressed with Daniel’s initiative and are delighted to support the event. We hope that lots of people will come forward to play on the day.”

Sponsorship for the event has been received from Crealy, Speedy Hire, Oakwood, Mole Valley Farmers, Otter Breweries, Wellington Bouncy Castle and Aggregate Industries.

Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park boasts over 100 acres of fun and welcomes nearly half a million guests each year. Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park has been voted Family Attraction of the Year and Overall Winner by readers of the Primary Times for 4 consecutive years.
