CULLOMPTON Community College proudly supported Macmillan’s ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ by organising a Coffee & Cake Week.

On Monday 22nd September the staff at CCC held their Coffee Morning. There were a variety of delicious cakes on offer including lemon drizzle, chocolate, coffee and walnut, chocolate brownies in the staff room, along with plenty of tea and coffee. The total raised from the staff cake sale was £193.

On Friday 26th September, Year 10 students held a Cake Sale at break, and lunch, and raised £180. It was a fantastic effort with so many donated cakes to sell. There was a huge variety of cupcakes, biscuits and sponges.

Liz Hogan a Teacher at CCC said … “We were thrilled to take part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. MacMillan is a fantastic cause and the students were really excited about hosting an event. They did so well I am so proud of them”. Caroline Goldsbrough Exams Officer said … “It was great to see so many people come along and support them in raising as much money as possible for the charity.”

Mrs Duffy, Deputy Headteacher said “It’s been such an amazing whole school charity drive. We are so impressed with the amount raised.”
