A MUSEUM in Tiverton is hoping to attract a new generation of customers with the introduction of a new youth club.

Tiverton Museum of Mid Devon Life has launched 'Barney's Bunch' - a new club for 2-5 year-olds, starting later this month.

Families are invited to the museum for a fun-filled hour of exploration, guided by Barney Bear and staff and volunteers.

Children and their accompanying adults will discover the past through age appropriate topics such as toys, trains or teddies with themed stories, games and crafts.

Museum Education Officer Holly Jarrett said: “Tiverton Museum is well known for being family friendly. We hope that these sessions will bring even more to our offer for young visitors, and help mums, dads, grandparents and carers to explore the museum with their young children.

“Barney Bear and all the team here are looking forward to it.”

The first session will be held on Wednesday, September 17 from 1.30pm-2.30pm.

The first session will feature a teddy bear theme.

There is a charge of £2 per child with a 50p discount for museum members making it £1.50.
