A GREYHOUND sanctuary in Mid Devon is hoping to walk into the record books with a mass dog walking event.
The Greyhound Sanctuary in Morchand Bishop, near Crediton has joined forces with a number of UK charities to set the new record and is hoping to attract over 1,000 dogs and their owners for the event on Sunday (September 7).
Dogs of any breed are welcome for the walk, but only sighthounds will be included as part of the record attempt.
Entry for each dog is £3 and all proceeds will go towards helping, treating and rescuing retired or abandoned greyhounds and lurchers.
