STUDENTS and staff at Cullompton Community College were thrilled with a top class set of GCSE results again this year.
Students achieved a magnificent 73% in the gold standard of 5+ A*-C including English and maths securing the best ever results in the history of the school.
This outstanding achievement demonstrates a further 6% improvement against a national backdrop of an increasing level of challenge which makes the achievement of our students all the more remarkable.
Maths maintained top position with 81% A*-C and English soared with 83% of students achieving A*-C.
Head teacher Mrs Julie Phelan said: “Results confirm that students did magnificently as a result of a consistent focus on improvement and the absolute belief by staff that each individual should strive to reach their best.
“As head teacher I couldn’t be more pleased with this stunning set of results and I would like to thank all the students, parents and staff for their hard work and dedication.
