David Wilder, aged 42 yrs from Plymouth has today been convicted of the murder of Kerry Power in Plymouth on December 14, 2013.
Wilder pleaded guilty to murder when he appeared before Taunton Crown Court today, Friday, July 18.
He was sentenced to life imprisonment and will serve seventeen and a half years.
Following the hearing, senior investigating officer, Detective Inspector Nassaris said: “I welcome the life sentence today for the selfish murder of Kerry which was committed by a controlling and manipulative individual.
“The investigation team would like to pay tribute to the family who have conducted themselves with dignity and courage throughout, especially Kerry’s ten year old son Ollie”.
