TWENTY teams of ladies from all over Devon took part in another extremely popular and successful golf day at beautiful Stover Golf Club on Thursday July 3.

Some ladies have taken part in all previous 11 years in support of Dream-A-Way and for some it was their first visit, with many promises to return next year for our very lucky thirteenth golf day on Thursday July 2, 2015.

The course was in beautiful condition, the amazing Stover team looked after our every need and the buffet even excelled the wonderful ones we have previously enjoyed. To add to all this the sun shone brilliantly all day so everyone had a wonderful day once more.

Dream-A-Way are extremely grateful to the House of Marbles for generously donating some beautiful glassware for our lucky winning ladies and also to the many clubs in Devon who continue to support our special day each year.

We were delighted that , with this, and our ladies’ support, just over £1,300 was raised for Dream-A-Way.

Every penny of this will be used to make a difference to many deserving local families.

Our winning lady was Jasmine Clapson From Woodbury Park with a score of 37 points enjoying her first ever day at Stover. The winning team, also from Woodbury Park with a score of 78 points, were Norma Foster, Kay Foster and Jasmine Clapson .

Event coordinator Gill Freeman said : “We sincerely look forward to welcoming back even more lady golfers in 2015 and, in the meantime , please take a look at our web site www.dream-a-way.org to see what other great events we have planned for our 21st anniversary year ... don’t miss the Diamonds Are Forever Ball”
