DOZENS of teams have entered Mid Devon charity Hospiscare’s golf day fundraiser.
Nearly 50 teams have already signed up for the chance to win the Marnie Burgoyne Memorial Trophy at Exeter Golf and Country Club in Topsham Road on Thursday, July 10.
The much-loved amateur tournament has raised about £92,000 to date and event organisers hope this amount will rise to more than £100,000 when its tenth anniversary is celebrated later this year.
Teams of four will complete a game of golf and have the chance to win prizes throughout the day before enjoying a|two-course carvery in the clubhouse.
The tournament is held each year in memory of Marnie Burgoyne, one of Hospiscare’s first fundraisers, who died at the Exeter hospice in 2000.
The golf day has become one of the highlights of the charity’s calendar and runs smoothly with the support of the golf day committee and sponsors Exeter estate agents Burgoynes.
