District council launches colouring competition

First published in News

THE housing service at Mid Devon District Council organised a children’s colouring competition in the latest edition of its newsletter for council tenants.

The council invited children to colour in a picture of a spring chick.

The winning pictures were to be printed in their next newsletter and all the entries displayed in the reception area of the council offices at Phoenix House, Tiverton.

More than 30 entries were received and the three winners received a £10 High Street gift voucher and a small gift. All the entries received a certificate of achievement and a gift.

The children were invited to Phoenix House where Cllr Ray Stanley, Cabinet Member for Housing, gave them with their prize.
