LiveRoad remains shut following Tiverton crash

SOUTH West Ambulance Service have confirmed that they received a call at 8.37am regarding the crash near Tiverton Golf Club.

The female casualty sustained head and chest injuries and was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital for further treatment.


INVESTIGATIONS by Police continue following a two-car collision near Tiverton Golf Club at around 8.40am this morning (May 27).

Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue sent two appliances to the scene following the incident, finding all persons were "free and clear" of the vehicles involved when they arrived. 

One of the vehicles had left the highway.

The fire service also confirmed that a casualty had received ambulance treatment before being transported to hospital.

It is not known when exactly the road will reopen.


POLICE are on the scene of an earlier collision that has resulted in the closure of the road in both directions at Post Hill in Tiverton.

The incident is said to have occurred between Uplowman Road and Crown Hill junction near Tiverton Golf Club.
