Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenage boy was assaulted in Plympton last week.
The 16-year-old boy from Plympton was approached from behind and punched to the ground before the offender ran off.
The incident happened on Wednesday, May 7 between 1.30pm and 1.45pm, at the top of Lucas Lane, at the junction with Plymbridge Road.
He suffered a minor head and arm injury as a result of the "unprovoked attack".
PC Michelle Evans, investigating officer, said: “This is an unusual incident and we would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the attack or the offender running off.”
