Police are keen to identify two people in connection with the theft of a card payment machine from McDonald’s in Plympton.

A man and a woman entered the restaurant in Plymouth Road around 3.25am on April 7 and ordered food.

When the staff had their back turned the man took the £200 electronic card payment machine from the counter and concealed it in his pocket.

Police have released a CCTV image of two people they would like to speak to in connection with the theft.

The man is described as white, between 5ft 8ins and 6ft tall, of slim build, with dark brown short hair. He was wearing a short-sleeved checked shirt and jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting crime reference EP/14/325.
