Police in Plymouth are appealing for witnesses following an incident where a man was seriously assaulted by a woman.
The incident happened in the service lane to the rear of Mount Gould Road at around 10.30pm on April 24.
During the assault, the 51-year-old man suffered serious injury and police are treating the incident as actual bodily harm.
A 28-year-old woman, who is known to the man, was arrested and later released on police bail until 23 July.
Police would like to speak to a couple who came to the assistance of the victim during the offence.
The unknown man and woman climbed a set of metal stairs at the rear of the property via the service lane to try and help.
