ALDI will be opening its latest store on Exeter Road in Cullompton on Thursday April 24, which has created 35 new jobs locally, alongside a range of community initiatives.

Aldi is currently holding an Easter colouring competition with local schools in the Cullompton area; and with a range of prizes up for grabs, the winning entries will also be displayed in-store on opening day.

As part of its engagement with the local community, Aldi has agreed to support Cullompton Rangers AFC by sponsoring its annual six-a-side football tournament over 19/20 July, featuring teams across all age groups from under 7s to under 18s.

Aldi is continuing its expansion across the South West, following successful store openings in Honiton and Liskeard last year. The retailer will also be opening a new store in Plymouth later this year. Due to Aldi’s continued growth, the company is looking for additional staff for a variety of positions in stores across the region; more details on the roles can be found on Aldi’s recruitment website at www.aldirecruitment.co.uk.

Aldi prides itself on British sourced products which can be found throughout the store, where shoppers can expect an extensive range of high quality, fresh food.

Aldi Store Manager, Jamie Short commented: “My team and I are delighted to announce the opening of our Cullompton store and we’re hoping to see a great turnout from the local community on opening day.”

Following its launch, the store on Exeter Road, Cullompton, EX15 1DT will be open:
