OTTERY GARDEN CENTRE STAFF AND CUSTOMERS ARE BLOOMIN’ MARVELLOUS
10:00am Sunday 20th April 2014 in News
STAFF and customers at Otter Nurseries have raffled, eaten, cycled, pampered, cooked, parked, knitted and raced through the last year – and raised £14,627.67p to help people affected by cancer.
Bridget Hill, local Fundraising Manager for Macmillan Cancer Support, said “We are delighted that Otter Nurseries have managed to raise more in this year than ever before.
"The number of people living with or beyond cancer in Devon and Cornwall has risen by 92% in a generation, so the challenge to provide support is growing. We need funds like this to make sure that no one faces cancer alone. ”
Sabine Taylor, Marketing Manager at Otter Nurseries, added “We started with a target of £10,000 and with the help of our customers and our staff we smashed it!
"The support we have had from Macmillan has been great and we have had loads of fun raising the money. Fundraising for charities is a very important part of our culture at Otter Nurseries and we are just delighted to be able to make a real difference.”
