Police in Plymouth are appealing for information after a play park was damaged in a suspected arson attack.

At around 10pm on Monday, April 14, 2014, a wooden playboat was set alight at the Barne Barton playpark on Savage Road.

The boat was destroyed by the fire which has cvaused substantial damage as a result.

Chief Inspector Ian Drummond-Smith said: "This is a particularly heartless crime to damage a children's play area during the school holidays.

"We hope someone will come forward to help catch those responsible."

Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting log 796 of 14/04/14.
