MID Devon charity Hospiscare are looking for people to take on a hilly challenge this July.

From July 3 to July 6 a team of walkers will be taking in the beautiful Jurassic Coastline on a moderately challenging walk along the Jurassic coastal path in support of Hospiscare.

The three day challenge will start at Weymouth and finish after three days of walking in Swanage, at South Haven Point.

The walk takes in iconic views along the World Heritage Site including Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. The route is a hilly and challenging with few very sections of flat walking. The walk offers the chance to see limestone cliffs, fossils and wildlife including rare butterflies and on occasions even dolphins.

Running and Challenge Fundraiser Celia Wilkinson said: "This is the first time Hospiscare has taken part in a coastal walk event. The Jurassic Coast is such a beautiful and dramatic coastline, we hope that lots of people will get involved and support Hospiscare by taking part.’’

Walkers will walk an average of 12 miles each day over 7-8 hours. All ages are able to take part, the only requirement is a good level of physical fitness and a positive attitude.

Meals and basic guesthouse accommodation is provided in the cost of the trip and walkers are encouraged to collect sponsorship for Hospiscare.

Hospiscare provides specialist and supportive end of life care to people with a terminal diagnosis across Exeter, mid and east Devon.
