AIR cadets from the new Crediton Detached Flight attended the main squadron HQ in Exeter to receive their uniform's and enjoy a weekend of training and fun activities.

Joined by local Exeter cadets, the Crediton Flight, consisting of Oscar Broad-Voysey, Lewis Cook, Cambell Langmead, Cain Sharples, Jack Vincent and Joel Yates, all enjoyed the weekend and especially being issued with their uniforms.

Cambell Langmead, 15, said: “It’s great that the air cadets have started in Crediton. Now I’m in uniform I can’t wait to go flying and gliding”.

The Crediton Detachment parade in Queen Elizabeth’s Academy, Lower School, on Tuesdays from 7pm to 8.30pm is open to both boys and girls aged 13 to 17.

CO Chris Myers said: “The detachment only started in February, but there has already been great interest from local youth and the community, so all we need now are adult staff to help run the unit.”
