Zebedee looking for a new home
2:00pm Monday 10th March 2014 in News
A TIVERTON-BASED pet charity is calling on dog lovers to help it find a home for its longest resident dog, who has been searching for a new family for nearly six months.
Lovely lurcher Zebedee was taken in by Blue Cross in September after being found as a stray.
But while his canine companions at the charity's rehoming centre in Tiverton continue to arrive and find new homes, Zeb has been left on the shelf still waiting to find his perfect match.
Rehoming supervisor Sarah Bussell said: “We have all become really fond of Zebedee and got to know him really well - and we just can't understand why this gorgeous boy still hasn't found his forever home.
“He's a real character who loves making friends with people, so he'll make a wonderful companion for his new owners.
“It really is Zeb's turn to find his happy ending now, so please do get in touch if you think you have room in your home and your heart for this lovely boy.”
Zeb is two and a charming, interactive and friendly dog who would love to find a new home where he can be the only pet. He particularly enjoys playing football and also loves walks and treats. Zeb would be happy to live with teenagers, following a successful introduction.
To find out more about Zebedee, or to meet him, contact the Blue Cross rehoming centre in Tiverton on 0300-7771560 or visit www.bluecross.org.uk and fill out a Homefinder form.
Blue Cross does not receive any government funding and relies entirely on public donations to continue its work finding new homes for thousands of unwanted and abandoned pets every year.
