Police investigate after biker dies in Newton Abbott crash

Police in Newton Abbot are investigating after a biker died in a Newton Abbott crash.

The crash occurred at 12.10pm on Saturday 1st March on the A380 at Eagle Farm, Kingsteignton, Newton Abbot.

Involved in the collision were two vehicles, a Silver Audi A2 motor vehicle and a black Buell motorcycle which were travelling in the same direction.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 72-year-old man from the Newton Abbot area suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital for treatment.

On Wednesday the March 2 the man died of his injuries at the hospital.

The road was closed for two hours whilst serious collision officers carried out an investigation.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to contact them on 101 quoting police reference 0404 010314.
