THE Willand Community Composting Scheme has given £300 to the First Willand Brownies for high-visy jackets, blankets and neckerchiefs.
The scheme, which started collecting green garden waste in Willand in 1993, has so far donated over £7,000 to local causes.
The scheme needs more volunteers for a couple of hours a week and local organisations can apply for donations if they meet certain criteria.
To donate, call Kevan Davies on 01884-839436.
