PEOPLE in Cullompton can expect changes to their postal service after the Royal Mail announced they are to adopt a revised delivery route in EX15, sectors 1-3.

The Royal Mail has written to every address in Cullompton about the changes, including households, businesses and other organisations.

Despite the changes to the delivery route, many people in Cullompton will continue to receive their mail by lunchtime, but the Royal Mail have said “the time of delivery will depend on where they live on the new delivery route. This may be later or possibly earlier than current delivery times.”

A statement from the Royal Mail explained the changes. It said: “The way in which we communicate with each other has changed dramatically.

“Unfortunately, fewer letters are now posted every day and Royal Mail needs to organise its delivery routes to be as efficient as possible.

“We also deliver more larger items and so we are investing in new equipment to carry these items to customers even more securely.

“These changes will require a period of adjustment for staff. However, Royal Mail will be doing everything possible to maintain a high level of service and thanks customers for their understanding.”

If customers have any queries after they have received a letter, they can call the Royal Mail Customer Services Team on 0845 601 1399. Deaf and hard of hearing customers can use Textphone: 0845 600 0606.
