Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a single vehicle crash near Totnes on Friday.
A force spokesman said that just before 2pm on February 14 a single vehicle collision occurred on the A385 near Harberton. The vehicle, a black Ford Focus was travelling from Totnes towards Avonwick when it left the road and collided with a tree.
The driver, the lone occupant of the vehicle, received fatal injuries. He is believed to be a man in his forties from the Plymouth area.
The road was closed while investigations took place at the scene and reopened around 8.45pm.
Members of the public assisted with first aid at the scene and officers are now keen to trace anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the car travelling shortly before the incident to call police on 101 quoting reference 493 of February 14.
