Release for Media Police in the West Midlands are appealing for information to locate a man who failed to return to prison following his release on a temporary licence last year.

Daniel Walker,28, (pictured), originally from Circuit Close in Willenhall, was convicted of a violent robbery in 2006 and received an indeterminate prison sentence.

He was released from HMP Sudbury temporarily and failed to return at the end of May 2013.

Officers have been searching known locations for Walker who has links to Walsall and Devon & Cornwall.

They believe he may be in the Dawlish area of Devon and are appealing to anyone with information to contact their local police with information.

DC Paul Fairhurst, from the West Midlands Police Offender Management Team, said: "We know Walker has family and friends in and around the West Midlands and Devon & Cornwall and are urging anyone with any information to call me on 0345 113 5000."
