Mid Devon Star: Queen Elizabeh's is top sixth form in county Queen Elizabeh's is top sixth form in county

THE sixth-form at Queen Elizabeth’s School in Cred-iton is the best in Devon and in the top 40 in the country for value added, according to DfE performance tables.

Students who join Queen Elizabeth’s sixth-form achieve significantly better results at the end of their time there than they would have done in any other sixth-form or college in Devon – and all but 33 others in the country.

School head teacher Richard Newton-Chance said: “We are absolutely delighted that our sixth-form results are the best in the South-West for value added.

“We put this down to excellent teaching, high expectations, great opportunities to broaden study and a really effective student support system.

“We have a great team of specialist tutors led by an outstanding Head of Sixth Form, Paula Smith, and together they make sure that all our students are given the support and encouragement they need to achieve to their absolute best and these figures prove that they do.”
