There is more wet weather on the way according to the Met Office, with a 'Yellow Alert' of rain issued for today and tomorrow.
The alert is valid from 9pm his evening through until 11.45pm on Tuesday, with frequent showers, some heavy, bringing a further 10-15 mm and locally up to 25 mm rain to the already sodden county.
There is the risk of up to 40 mm of rain on the high ground of southwest England.
The public should be aware of the potential for disruption due to localised flooding, especially where the ground is already saturated.
The chief forecaster has put the rain storm down to an unsettled start to this week as an area of low pressure moves slowly southwards across Britain to most likely be centred over the Irish Sea by the end of Tuesday.
The bands of heavy showers will form on the southern flank of this area of low pressure and stream across much of southern England.
