Any Questions? At Blundell's
10:00am Sunday 26th January 2014 in News
BLUNDELL’S School is to be the venue for the BBC Radio 4 programme ‘Any Questions?’ next month.
The current affairs programme, which is chaired by Jonathan Dimbleby (pictured), provides the opportunity for people to challenge a panel of four speakers – politicians, policy-makers, writers and thinkers – about the burning issues of the day.
It comes to Blundell’s on the evening of February 21 and members of the public are invited to apply for tickets to watch the programme as it is being broadcast.
Blundell’s head teacher Nicola Huggett said: “I am delighted that BBC Radio 4 has chosen Blundell’s as the venue for Any Questions?
“It is a fantastic opportunity for local people, pupils and parents, to see this prestigious programme being broadcast live and maybe even put a question to the panel.
“I’m looking forward to some lively debate.”
There is also the chance to put a question to the panel on the evening, which must be submitted in writing at the event and will then be selected by the BBC prior to the broadcast.
Members of the panel have yet to be confirmed but updates will be available on the school website www.blundells.org as are all other details about the evening.
Tickets are free but are limited on a ‘first come, first served’ basis with a maximum of two per application.
Anyone who would like a ticket for this event should email the Development Office firstname.lastname@example.org with their name, contact details and whether they want one or two tickets by 6 February and the tickets will be available for collection at the event.
Seats are unreserved and doors open at 6.30pm for 7.20pm – and the broadcast finishes at 8.50pm.
The minimum age for audience members is 14.
