FORMER Crediton rugby player Sam Hill has been selected in the England Saxons squad to take on the Irish Wolfhounds at Kingsholm, Gloucester, on Saturday.
The former Queen’s Elizabeth pupil and current Exeter Chiefs centre, was selected in the 25-man squad following an impressive start to the season.
Hill, 20, was a member of the World Cup winning under-20s side in 2013 and has quickly made the jump to England’s second string squad.
Having originally missed out on selection for the Saxons Elite Player Squad when it was announced two weeks ago, Hill was one of ten players to be called up to prepare for the Ireland fixture.
The Saxons also take on Scotland A on January 31.
