Drugs worth £90,000 have been seized by police in Brixham.

PC Dave Thomas, assisted by other members of the Brixham and Paignton Neighbourhood Team, conducted a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant in Brixham on Friday, January 10.

The warrant and subsequent searches in the Furzeham area of the town resulted in over £90,000 worth of cocaine and heroin being discovered, along with cannabis and a quantity of cash.

Sergeant Steve Cayless, neighbourhood team leader, said: “This seizure is the result of community intelligence and is the culmination of community policing at its best.

“It shows the work that the local neighbourhood police in Brixham are doing and that we will not tolerate drugs in the town.

A 19-year-old man and 22-year-old woman, both from Brixham, were arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply and have been released on police bail until March 10.
