FIRE crews were called to help two cars which became stuck in flood water near Honiton this morning (January 1).
One crew from Ottery St Mary, one from Honiton and the Special Rescue Team from Exeter were sent to the scene at Fenny Bridges at around 10am.
A fire service spokesman said: "Two adults were trapped in the car in rising floodwater and were in a distressed state. They were rescued by fire service personnel in dry suits."
Moments later fire crews were sent to another report of a car stuck in floodwater at Ford Bridge, Monkton.
The spokesman added: " On arrival crews confirmed a car in floodwater with two adults and a baby stuck inside. Fire crews rescued the people from the car."
