WATER levels at the River Exe in Tiverton were high, but the river has not broken its banks.

FLOODING between Exeter St Davids and Tiverton Parkway means no trains can run through.

Replacement buses in operation.

The Met Office last night issues a flood warning for the River Exe, from Tiverton to Exeter, includign Bickleigh.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said:

"River levels are high and are expected to continue to rise for the next few hours. The heavy persistent rain has passed which will be followed by more showers. Flooding of properties close to the river is likely. Flooding is expected imminently."

DEVON and Somerset Fire Crews were called to 250 weather related incidents last night (December 23-24) as heavy rain and strong winds battered the region.
