Maddie's 'bounathon' a leaping success
7:00am Friday 1st November 2013 in News
FRIENDS and family of a baby girl, who suffered brain damage during birth, have raised over £1,500 to help fund her treatment by taking part in a 20-hour trampoline 'bouncathon.'
Tim and Kayleigh Bell organised the event to raise money for their daughter, Maddie.
The event was very well attended and the couple have already beaten their target of £1,500 - with money still due to come in.
The final part of their fundraising is an online auction, with plenty of fantastic gifts and experiences on offer - such as a hot air balloon ride, Yarak bird of prey experience, Exeter Chiefs rugby ball, tickets to Exeter Chiefs versus Toulon and tickets to see Lee Evans.
Kayleigh Bell said: “Tim and I would like to thank everyone that came and supported us at 'Maddie's Big Bounce' and made it such a successful and enjoyable event. Also to all the generous people that have donated their money, time and wonderful gifts.
The final part of our fundraising event is our online auction. Visit www.miraculousmadeline.co.uk and you'll find lots of great gift ideas and experiences for your loved ones this Christmas.
“All money raised will go into Maddie's Pot and initially pay for her oxygen therapy, and if we raise enough it'll go towards a sensory studio to stimulate her vision and improve her quality of life.”
The auction will run until midnight on November 9.
