Travel enthusiasts in Mid Devon mark Exe Valley Railway Line closure
11:00am Wednesday 23rd October 2013 in News
DAYTRIPPERS hopped aboard a vintage coach to travel the old route of the Exe Valley Railway Line and mark the 50th anniversary of its closure.
They retraced the line from Brampford Speke to Dulverton on board the Bedford OB coach, stopping off at several old stations along the way.
Tiverton Museum of Mid Devon Life organised the special event and museum trustee and railway historian Amyas Crump ran the trip.
The museum is planning similar trips in the future.
Organisers would like to thank the owners of former stations who opened their homes for the tour.
