War stories on the big screen in Hemyock
7:00pm Tuesday 15th October 2013 in News
A FILM showing of the popular Dunkeswell War Stories will bring the touching World War Two documentary to the people of Hemyock.
The hour-long movie has been produced by the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Partnership and Dream Machine Media as part of the Dunkeswell War Stories project.
The project brings to life an extraordinary period in the 1940s when Dunkeswell was the site of the only US naval airbase on British soil.
The film, which features interviews, archive photographs, film and music, is full of the memories of both local people and US airmen, thrown together by war.
It will be showing at the Blackdown Healthy Living Centre at 7pm on Friday, October 25.
To book your seat at the screening contact the Blackdown Hills AONB team on 01823-680681 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
