South Western Ambulance Service falls short of national target
8:00am Sunday 6th October 2013 in News
AMBULANCES in Devon and Cornwall have failed to meet a national target for heart attack response times.
Guidelines from the Department of Health say crews should reach 75% of patients within eight minutes but a South Western Ambulance Service report revealed the service had missed this figure by more than 2%.
Delivery director Neil Le Chevalier said the service has recruited more paramedics to ensure it is more robust for winter.
