THIS is the moment a huge lightning strike damaged a historic 13th Century chapel in Devon.
St Nicholas Chapel in Ilfracombe bore the brunt of a monster electrical storm after it was struck by the bolt on Friday night (September 6).
Windows were broken and the building suffered electrical damage.
The building sits on top of a hill looking out to the sea and is the longest running continuously lit coastal navigational aid in the country.
